CODE OF CONDUCT

Mediation Cardiff complies with the European Code of Conduct for Mediators. Click on the link for details.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your experience with Mediation Cardiff, please raise the issue at the earliest opportunity - during a mediation session if possible. 

If a complaint arises after mediation, please contact Nicholas Whitehead by email: nicholas@mediationcardiff.com Alternatively, write to Mediation Cardiff, Temple Court, 13a Cathedral Road, Cardiff CF11 9HA

Your complaint will be acknowledged within three working days. The mediator will review the complaint and a response will be sent to you within one month. To ensure that your complaint is considered fully and fairly, the review process may involve consultation with fellow professionals. If other professionals are consulted, neither you nor any other party in your case will be named. Any reference to your case will be anonymous.

If you are not satisfied with the response you receive from Mediation Cardiff, the complaint may be escalated to the Civil Mediation Council, 70 Fleet Street, London EC4Y 1EU 

It is a requirement of the European Directive on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) that you are informed of an approved and certified ADR provider. One such provider is:

This does not mean that you or we are obliged to use ADR or this provider.

DATA PROTECTION

Confidentiality is one of the main principles of mediation and the proceedings of mediation sessions are not recorded. While the outcome of a mediation may be reported to a referring client - e.g. an employer, a landlord, a solicitor in a potential court case - as a matter of principle, the contents of the actual discussions are not revealed.
